Firuzbey Mosque(Firuzbey Camii)
Firuzbey Mosque is a 14th-century Ottoman-era mosque in the Milas district of Muğla. The architect of the mosque, which was built by Firuz Bey, the governor of Menteşe Sanjak of the Ottoman Empire on December 21, 1394, is Hasan bin Abdullah. The mosque is architecturally striking as it was built in Milas during the transition period between the Menteşe Principality and the Ottoman Empire. It is popularly known as Kurşunlu Mosque because its dome is covered with lead. It is an inverted T planned mosque.[1] Only a few tombstones remained from the cemetery in his burial ground. There is a dilapidated madrasa rooms in the west and a fountain in the north. Evliya Çelebi saw the mosque during his visit to Milas and called it ‘Gökçami’ because of the sky-colored marbles.

Known among the locals as the “Old Mosque”, the Kızılhisarlı Mustafa Pasha Mosque, located right next to Bodrum Castle, is situated on a plain overlooking the endless sea.
