Side Museum; Manavgat district, Side District, Side Antique City, M.S. Dated to the 2nd century AD. It is located in an ancient bath building (Agora Bath), which has survived to the present day with additions and changes in the 5th – 6th centuries. Between 1959 and 1961, the Hamam was restored by the Master Architect Ragıp – Selma DEVREZ couple, with three parts covered and opened as a museum in 1962. Halls 2 (Sudatorium), 3 (Caldarium) and 4 (Tepidarium) of the bath are closed; Halls 1 (Frigidarium) and 5 (Tepidarium) and courtyard sections are arranged as open display areas. In the garden of the Museum, which was once a part of the gymnasium, there are tomb inscriptions, inscriptions, friezes from the Roman Period, sarcophagi, column bases and columns, mosaic pieces, busts and sculptures from the Seljuk Period. If you proceed from the museum entrance and turn right without entering the garden, you will reach the exhibition halls. Here, firstly, an open-topped hall with reliefs of weapons, a basalt column head from the Late Hittite Period, and a very beautiful pool are encountered. It is estimated that the niches of the pool were once decorated with statues of emperors and gods. There is also a Roman sundial in the middle of the pool. Glass works, coins, oil lamps, statuettes, jewelry, ornaments, sarcophagi and sculptures are exhibited in the covered halls of the museum. M.S. The Three Beauties Statue, symbolizing the beauty, grace and fertility of the 2nd century, is one of the most precious works of the Side Museum.
